Sankari Prasad Sarkar had his degree in Science and in Metallurgical Engineering. He was born when World War II was in full fury and an all-out struggle for Indian Independence was going on. He had been engaged in the production of defense equipments, in industry as a consultant and finally in Bharat Heavy Electricals limited till his retirement as a Senior Deputy General Manager. Despite his preoccupation with service and profession he nurtured his passion for poems. His first anthology of English poems titled For You stands published in August 2013 in US by Outskirts Press. It has earned acclaim from poetry lovers and readers.
