Mousumi Parida is a bilingual poet, fiction writer, novelist and columnist. She has authored 10 short stories collection including an e-book, 4 novels, 2 collections of poems, one anthology of poems in English by Authorspress, New Delhi. She has also been conferred with several prestigious honours and awards. Besides a lecture, she has been writing since her childhood and started publishing from 1994 and participated in several programmes of Odisha Sahitya Academy and Kendra Sahitya Academy.
